A Festival of Color with Wheelycool Fibers
Class: Dyeing for Beginners
Students will have a choice of fiber, fingering weight yarn or one of our Wheelycool Wheels to dye. We will start the day off with a brief discussion on Color Theory with Sharon and then Sara will take over to guide students through the process of dyeing using acid dyes.
Please be sure to wear old clothing and/or bring an apron. Light snacks will be provided; Students will need to bring a sack lunch or make other arrangements. (there will be a 1hr lunch break from 12-1)
Cost of class will include all materials need and your choice of 4oz of wool fiber, 100grams of fingering weight yarn, or one Wheelycool Wheel to dye.
For those of you not interested in dyeing, we thought of you too!
There will also be a pop-up shop and crafting circle and a sock machine demo with Joann Tipton. Open to the public at no charge from 11am to 3 pm; bring your stitching / spinning and join us for an afternoon of crafting and of course shopping at Always in Stitches! Light snacks will be provided but you are free to bring a sack lunch and spend the day.| Skill Level: | Beginner |
