Janet's Beginner Top Down Cardigan Sweater January 2026

This Top Down Cardigan is made with dk yarn and is very unique in construction.

Both fronts are knit with collar extensions with front shoulder stitches are cast on

and worked down to under the arm. Back is cast on from collar extension and

shoulders and knitted to under the arm, then fronts and back are knitted as one.

The sleeve stitches are picked up and knitted. The border is worked as one and

included in all knitting. Instructions are for a cropped version and a long version.

amounts of yarn.
