Instructor: Stephanie Coy-Lykes
Instructor Bio: Stephanie bought her first Janome as she was getting ready to retire in 2011 at a Christmas in July sale in our shop. We liked her so much, we convinced her to stay for August, September, October and all the other months of the year. Now she is the manager of the Sewing Machine Department. Our Janome and Handi Quilter machines could not be in better hands. Neither could our machine customers and owners. Stephanie, who we lovingly call inspector Gadget, frequently goes to training events to expand her knowledge about new gadgets, sewing, embroidery and quilting machines. She has developed a wealth of knowledge and has first-hand experience with nearly every machine in our shop. Stephanie gravitates to modern quilts, and she is not afraid to challenge herself. "My son is a huge Cubs fan so I made my version of Wrigley Field (including the building, bleachers and infield) as baby quilt for my grandson." She is mother to four sons, and Mimi to eleven grandchildren and one great grandson. She loves quilting and learning new ways to do things. Stephanie is a natural at helping others and enjoys all the wonderful people she meets in our shop. WE know they enjoy her as much as we do!
