About Us

Always in Stitches is located in the charming community of Noblesville, Indiana, just north of Indianapolis. Serving our neighbors since 2007, our fabric, yarn, craft and sewing machine store carries all the supplies and products for nearly any handicraft project.

Store owner Lyneen Burrow wanted to create a place for crafters to come where they could feel safe and supported, socialize and have fun with other people who share their passion and creativity. Lyneen’s mother was an excellent seamstress and quilter who passed this love of fabric to her daughter, now she wants to share it with you.

Come in today and say hello.

Meet the Expert Staff at Always in Stitches

Capricia Marie Saxton, more commonly known as Capi

Role at AIS: Capi wears many hats – some that she knits herself. As manager, she’s our go-to person whenever there’s a question. She’s also known as Lyneen’s idea soundboard. She’s been on this crazy ride called Always In Stitches since the beginning.

When she’s not at AIS, which is rare, she enjoys gardening and insignificant trivia that serves no purpose. She and Jeff have two children.

Claim to Fame: Capi is related to Helen Keller.

Linda Swickard

Role at AIS: Sales specialist.

Do the hustle! Linda taught dancing in 1978. She can be found at Always In Stitches most Thursday evenings, so come in and ask for some dance lessons. She and her late husband Ed have a daughter, Jerra.

Personal pride: Linda makes wonderful T-shirt quilts.

Kathy Zook

Role at AIS: Sales specialist, primarily in sewing machines and fabric. Kathy loves to help customers find just the right fabric and share her deep knowledge about sewing.

She has been married to her high school sweetheart, Vernon, for more than 40 years. They have two children and six grandchildren. When she’s not sewing or working, you’ll often find her at her grandchildren’s sports events.

Lyneen Burrow

Role at AIS: Owner.

If you ask Lyneen how much she knows about – well, anything – she’s apt to say, “Just enough to get me in trouble!” She enjoys cross-stitch, penny rugs and quilting. And if you need baking advice, she’s our Betty Crocker. Lyneen has judged pies on the Food Network for the National Pie Council.

She and her husband Brett have two daughters and sons-in-law, Liz and Aaron and Aly and Rob. Their furry friends include Rosie, Harrison, Casper and Gracie.

Aly Bray

Role at AIS: Online marketing specialist and resident Internet guru. She loves being able to play on Facebook and call it her job!
Aly, who is a licensed cosmetologist, specializes in random, usually worthless facts of knowledge.

She and Rob were married in 2010 and will welcome their first child in March 2012. They’re practicing parenting as the owners of two furry kids, Gus and Cici.

Rob Bray

Role at AIS: Doing whatever manly chores we dainty AIS women shun.

Need a quilt hung? We call on Rob.  Need a light fixture fixed? We call on Rob. But we’ll call him a Purdue graduate in December, when he’ll be awarded a bachelor’s degree in industrial management.

He and Aly were married in 2010 and will welcome their first child in March 2012. They’re practicing parenting as the owners of two furry kids, Gus and Cici.

Penelope Kathleen Fox Little, more commonly known as Penny

Role at AIS: Yarn specialist.

Penny has been knitting for more than 50 years. When she doesn’t have needles in her hand, she’s likely to have reins in them. She’s an accomplished rider and is a Regional Reserve Champion at First Level Dressage.

She and Ed have two children and three grandchildren. Over the years, they’ve been in the lives of 11 Shelties.

Virginia Green

Role at AIS: Sales specialist. You’ll likely find her helping customers anywhere in the store, but she’s most often in the felting department.

Virginia is a jill of all trades who’s especially talented at needle felting, appliqué and knitting. Working at Always In Stitches isn’t her first venture in retail. She owned a music store in Oklahoma and taught accordion for nine years. She’s taught 91 students.

Her family includes a daughter and son-in-law, a son and daughter-in-law, two granddaughters, two grandsons and their wives and one great-grandson.

Cari Bledsoe

Role at AIS: Sales specialist, particularly in fabric.

Soft-spoken Cari has a servant’s heart that comes from her deep and genuine love of people. The way that she’s always finding someone to care for may come from the fact that she’s the oldest daughter and granddaughter in her family – she has a younger sister and two brothers. She’ll hush any compliments, though, by saying, “I’m just me.”

Her growing family includes three sons (the oldest is an Air Force staff sergeant), a daughter-in-law, two sweet girlfriends(hopefully daughers-in-law one day!) one grandson, her granddaughter Lily born December 28, 2011, and two dogs. She’s been married for 23 years.

Christy Wiegand

Role at AIS: Longarm quilter.

Christy met Ricky Tims before he was a famous quilter and musician. In fact, her son Joe crawled on Ricky’s quilt, which was insured for $10,000.

In addition to Joe, she and Mark have a daughter, Anna, and another son, Thomas.

Ruth Middleton

Role at AIS: Quilting specialist.

There’s a reason people turn to Ruth when they have a quilting question: She has 40-plus years of experience in many quilting techniques. She won third place in the highly competitive and prestigious contest at the 2011 Quilt Guild of Indy show. She’s traveled to 47 states, eight European countries, eight Caribbean countries, Canada and Mexico , plus she lived for 18 month in Turkey. When she’s says “I love to travel,” believe her.

Ruth and her husband have three children and two grandchildren.

Ginger Penn more commonly known as Grandma Ginger

Role at AIS: The thread that holds the AIS fabric together

Grandma Ginger calls herself retired and tries to make people believe she just plays at AIS. But every shop needs a person to do anything; Grandma Ginger is ours. She’s knowledgeable in basic garment construction, embroidering on wool projects and applying binding to quilts. A lifelong learner, she’s a novice in watercolor painting and knitting. An LPN and electroencephalogram technician for 25 years, she has lived in Hamilton County for all but three years of her life. In her spare time, she collects buttons, does bird watching, gardens and is in the process of converting a minibarn to a garden house.

Her family includes one daughter, Capi, who also works at AIS, a son-in-law, two grandchildren, a dog, Luci Lu Fu Fu, and a cockatiel, Freedom.

Cindy Ogle

Role at AIS: Sales specialist

Cindy’s many quilted samples are easy to find at Always In Stitches – they’re made likely in her homey, signature colors of deep wine, forest green and cream. She enjoys knitting, free motion quilting, quilting cross stitch, needlework and purse making. There are many interesting things about Cindy. One of them is that she looks like her grandmother that she did not know.

She and her husband Aaron have two children: Maggie, who’s married to Robert and is mother of Caroline, and Adam, who’s married to Tamara and is father of Ian.
